Summer Camps Saskatoon & Area
Have you ever fallen in love with the architecture of an old church but are not religious? That’s the beauty of The Secret Garden, a space that allows you to explore the beauty within the parameters you define for yourself.
The Secret Garden Retreat Centre offers non-religious nurturing, creative, and confidence-building summer camps
for children ages 9–12. JUST ADDED – we are pleased to offer one camp for age 10 – 14 year old campers.
We focus on our values of kindness, respect, and care for one another.
Our programs are designed for thoughtful, curious, and imaginative kids who
might not be drawn to traditional camps — but still want the joy of summer adventures, new friends,
and discovery in nature. Each week welcomes a maximum of 12 campers, ensuring personalized
attention and a close-knit, family-style atmosphere.
We are located an hour away from Saskatoon in Arelee, SK. Visit our Location page for a map and directions.

Artists & Writers: Creatives Create!
The Secret Garden Explorer Camp
Is your child introverted, a bit on the shy side, loves to read and create but has never been interested in a traditional canoeing or horse-back riding camp? Our Creatives Create! Camp offers the summer camp experience in a calm and supportive environment. Campers write or draw their own book and may opt to have it published on Amazon by the end of the week (extra fees apply). Guest authors and artists visit to provide workshops and inspiration. Physical activities, classic films, and evening campfires round out the day.
Run by professional educators and student teachers, this camp is a full week of things like going on a “lost explorer” mission using a compass and secret codes to complete, making maps, reading treasure maps to find a hidden treasure, a nature-themed Amazing Race activity, building miniature villages in our enchanted forest, scavenger hunts, making a nature sound map, obstacle courses, stargazing with the royal astronomical society (if we have clear skies), singing campfire songs, building terrariums and having as much fun as we can possibly have! Our small camp size ensures your child receives one-on-one attention in a fun, supportive environment.
